An Introduction to Crepe Filling

Crepe Strawberry Filling
Depending on your particular crepe recipe and the time of day it is that you have decided to prepare them, your fillings and sauces can be various. Below you can read about each category of crepe filling, from desserts to breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Crepe Filling Choices
Breakfast crepes are good to serve with eggs, ham, or other meats. You can pair it alongside an omelet, then add toppings such as cheese, olives, crumbled up bacon. You could add your favorite jelly or jam on top, and serve it as is. Like with pancakes, you could drizzle maple syrup. Sausage is recommended here but you can serve it with anything else you like. Fresh fruit and little natural corn syrup would be nice.

Crepe with Cottage Cheese and Ham
Dinner crepes can be more customary and formal. Prepare thinly-sliced meats and cook them in the oven, placing them on top. You could even do a full chicken parmesan, layered with crepes. Make a delicious Italian lasagna with them, with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, with a light garlic sauce. Serving them with mushrooms and asparagus inside would make very tasty crepe filling, if you like those ingredients.

Crepe Orange Filling
You can even make crepes themselves with chocolate. Then, you can add ingredients from a banana split. If you like Nutella, this goes really well with crepes and pancakes.
If you prefer orange, make a nice orange sauce reduction and drizzle it over, with perhaps some fried banana strips stuffed inside.
